If you have never had a rash like this before, you need to see your doctor since it could be other sexually transmitted diseases like syphillis.
If you feel very sick, you need to see your doctor because in rare cases it can spread to internal organs and needs immediate antiviral treatment.
If you have lesions on your eyelids with red eyes or blurred vision you need to see an Ophthalmologist - eye doctor - immediately - herpes opthalmalogicum can damage your sight permanently.
If you are pregnant and especially if you have genital lesions in late pregnancy you need to see your OB/Gyn - baby delivering doctor.
If it's not going away you may need to see a Dermatologist - skin doctor.
Newborns are a special case and must be seen immediately to prevent serious complications.
