Title:Methadone Anonymous
Description:12-step fellowship groups that believe that: 1) methadone is a therapeutic tool of recovery that may or may not be discontinued in time, dependent upon the needs of the individual; and 2) continued abstinence from illicit opiates and other chemicals, including alcohol, is the foremost goal of recovery. Members help one another "to learn to develop a positive lifestyle, live in harmony with ourselves and the rest of the world, and to help those of us who still suffer from chemical dependency." Website is under construction, and not all local groups are yet reflected there. Online forums are being developed. Guide for starting an MA is available.
