Trail Mix

Trail Mix

Sometimes you need snacks on the go, when yogurt and other perishables just won't do. Trail mix travels well, whether you keep a stash in your car or throw a small container in your kid's backpack. Try to avoid store-bought trail mix as these often have a lot of added sugar. It's easy to make yourself! Start with whole grain cereal (oat O's or whole grain flakes work well), then add a few types of nuts and dried fruit. Experiment and find which combinations your family likes best.
