Dr. Aharonov, board certified anesthesiologist and Dr. George, board certified in addiction medicine founded MDS Drug Detox Center. Both doctors have been performing rapid opiate detox under anesthesia since 2008. Through knowledge and experience, our doctors have perfected the procedure and individualized it to each patient based on the drug use history and co-occurring medical and psychiatric disorders. We keep patients sedated throughout the entire withdrawals which can last up to eight hours. Our Unique MDS Rapid Detox procedure is performed in our state-of-the-art surgical center, which is solely occupied by MDS, and thus, very confidential. The procedure when done by competent physicians results in a successful outcome. We are the nation's only rapid opiate detox center that includes unlimited aftercare done by the treating physician. We include a two month naltrexone implant as an integral part of our procedure and recommend long term naltrexone therapy after our treatment. Our treatment is a good beginning of a lifelong process of staying away from drugs, making the right life choices, and continuing with private or group therapy such as NA. We are available for continued support. We are privileged to provide treatment for patients from every state, Canada and around the world. Most patients do not want to do this in their back yard because of confidentiality. They get on an airplane for a few days "vacation". We are near Detroit, so pretty convenient to everything. Patients come in on a Tuesday and are typically ready to leave on a Friday morning or at the latest Saturday - drug free. We encourage a patient to come with a family member.
