Uses:
This sterile saline solution is used to wash, flush, or rinse parts of the body (e.g., wounds) or medical supplies/equipment (e.g., dressings, catheters, drainage tubes). This product may also be mixed with other medications (e.g., neomycin/polymyxin B) to prepare a solution to flush/rinse parts of the body. This product must not be used for injection or during electrosurgical procedures.

How To Use
Use this solution for washing/rinsing/flushing as directed by your doctor. When preparing or using the solution, make sure to follow procedures to prevent contamination of the solution. Dosage is based on your medical condition and response to treatment. Before using, check this product visually for particles or discoloration. If either is present, do not use the liquid. If you are mixing medications into this product, follow all instructions for proper mixing. If you have any questions about the preparation or use of this solution, consult your pharmacist. Do not warm this solution above 150 degrees F (66 degrees C). Use this product immediately after opening or mixing. Throw away any unused portion. Do not save for later.
Drug Interactions
Your doctor or pharmacist may already be aware of any possible drug interactions and may be monitoring you for them. Do not start, stop, or change the dosage of any medicine before checking with your doctor or pharmacist first. Before using this product, tell your doctor or pharmacist of all prescription and nonprescription/herbal products you may use. If you are mixing medications into this solution, check with the pharmacist to see if the medication may be used with this solution. Keep a list of all your medications with you, and share the list with your doctor and pharmacist.

Do not share this solution with others. Laboratory and/or medical tests (e.g., electrolyte levels, acid-base balance) may be performed periodically to monitor your progress or check for side effects. Consult your doctor for more details.
Overdose
If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. US residents can call the US National Poison Hotline at 1-800-222-1222. Canada residents can call a provincial poison control center. Symptoms of overdose may include: trouble breathing, swelling of the arms/legs.
Precautions
Before using this product, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you have any allergies. This product may contain inactive ingredients, which can cause allergic reactions or other problems. Talk to your pharmacist for more details. Before using this medication, tell your doctor or pharmacist your medical history, especially of: a certain heart disease (congestive heart failure), kidney disease, swelling of the arms/legs (edema), fluid in the lungs, mineral imbalance (e.g., high sodium level). Kidney function declines as you grow older. This medication is removed by the kidneys if absorbed into the blood. Therefore, elderly people may be at greater risk for side effects if this product is absorbed into the blood. During pregnancy, this medication should be used only when clearly needed. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. It is not known whether this drug passes into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Storage
Store the unopened container at room temperature at 77 degrees F (25 degrees C) away from heat. Protect from freezing. Keep all medicines away from children and pets. Do not flush medications down the toilet or pour them into a drain unless instructed to do so. Properly discard this product when it is expired or no longer needed. Consult your pharmacist or local waste disposal company for more details about how to safely discard your product.
Side Effects
If your doctor has directed you to use this product, remember that he or she has judged that the benefit to you is greater than the risk of side effects. Many people using this medication do not have serious side effects. This solution may be absorbed into the blood, especially if it used continuously or if it stays inside your body for a long time. This absorption may cause side effects such as too much fluid in the body. Tell your doctor immediately if any of these unlikely but serious side effects occur: signs of infection (e.g., fever), trouble breathing, swelling, unusual weakness, mental/mood changes (e.g., restlessness, irritability).
