bump on neck

i recently noticed a bump on the back of my neck that is sore when i poke at it. i remember i had this before but it was a long time ago. i think it could just be a regular pimple that just occured on my neck but usually my pimples don't hurt when i poke it. my pimples arise about a week before my period, most of them showed up on my face, but this time, there is one on my neck. could i just be getting worried for nothing?
