Why am I addicted to cigarettes when I drink?

The only time I ever think about smoking is after a few alcholic beverages. After a few beverages, a crave a good smoke. I didn't mention it in my question, but this is also the case after I enjoy an occasional joint. The cigarettes seem to add to relaxation. I am 27 and have practiced this behavior since I was 19. I would be considered a light smoker because I only smoke a pack of ultra lights a week. The problem is that it is usually a half a pack on Fri night and a half a pack on Sat night. How do I stop this and is this a heatly threat compared to that of a regular smoker?

I smoke more when I drink, on average I can last a 8/9days on 50 cigerettes (pack of 20), but i do smoke lights. Do you think i am a regular smoker (i have asthma and a heart murmur, although niether are serious).
