Nicotine in System

by Sonya Thompsen, Mar 20, 2000 12:00AM
I am quitting smoking and have gotten done to smoking 3-4 cigarettes a day.  I actually did not smoke at all yesterday.  My question is this:  I am in the middle of an IVF cycle.  I should actually do the transfer in about a week.  If I quit now, will my body's process of ridding my body of the toxins be more stressful than if I just keep smoking 1-2 a day?  What do you think?  How long does it take for the nicotine to get out of my body?

I quit cigarettes 3 months ago.  Many friends are dropping dead from them.  The 3rd week was bad; I suggest using laxatives on the 3rd week.
