Clonidine

by Robert Rosenberg, Oct 24, 2000 12:00AM
Should clonidine be ordered for a cancer patient who has become addicted to vicodin?  Is it dangerous to give the patient clonidine if their systolic blood pressure number is below 100. If hte patient's resting blood pressure wihtout receiving clonidine runs about 125/70 on average, should they be receiving clonidine or will the medicine reduce their blood pressure to a too low point?  How much will clonidine lower a patient's blood pressure on average?
