What to Expect from Hydro Withdrawl C/T

Wed/. this week... I started C/T my withdawl from Hydros.  I was taking 6 - 10 7.5 a day.   It's prolly stupid to do this CT but I just didn't see any other way out.

Runny nose, RUNS, joint ache, feeling of being disconnected are all what I've been experiencing so far.   Last doses was 3pm Wed.,.   I can't seem to move or "wake up" fully.   No appetite whatsoever.   I have been taking 1 mg of Xanax to sleep.  Otherwise this would be even more sheer hell.  One step at a time.

The pain in joints and bones are really awful.   I took some advil yesterday, but I'm not really supposed to use advil but I did anyway

My question is...how much longer will all this last... can anyone tell me?   Is there any hope for just feeling better?

Anyone out here can tell me what to expect from here out I'd appreciate it.

Wishing you all the best of the Holiday Season

hey Gipsee

Wed! Man you are almost home. The joint aches will linger for a few weeks...walking and runners steching like knee bends ect will  help as will a real hot bath. The head thing, well that varys by the person; try to ignore it and one day you will think about it and it will just be gone. Be thankful that you were just taking a low amount. Anyway good luck. If it is any help I am right now weening myself from around 300mg a day and am down to around 30mg. From here I have to decide to go it c/t.

Been about 12 days for me and trust me    you will feel completly normal soon!!  Even when i get stressed out, I dont want that ****.  The only thing i say i do differently is watch more tv instead of being productive as much.  I started playing my guitar again and i have not touched that thing for awhile.  Anyways, have good holidays and trust me    it gets alot better!!!!

I also started the wean myself last Wed (quick) and am now out.  Got arthritis in various places and was at 40-60mg day (4-6 10/325 NORCO)for the last 5 months or so.  Took my last dose about 30 hours ago.  After reading all the bad stuff about W/D on here, I was really ready for some grief.  But very strangely, I am not feeling anything but an occasional chill.  I am concerned this is just the start and it's going to really nail me any minute.  Should  I be feeling more sick by now, or was my dose and duration low enough to not be hit too hard?  Thanks in advance.

Ya know what sofitelKK... If I realize nothing else from being on here two weeks... I know everyone is different.   The last time I did this three years ago...my withdrawl symptoms were nothing compared to what I am feeling now.

Yesterday was not so bad.  Last night was HORRIBLE.   This morning with the help of some advil, citrical and B complex... I'm doing OK...but not fit for human company.  I DID MANAGE TO WRAP MY GIFTS   ... Hooray..!

Admittedly though, up 'til last night I had taken some Xanax to sleep but I had stopped them a week before I stopped with the hydro.

I'm feeling as though I have the worst stomach flu.... and know what maybe I even have some flu... who knows?  I really am feeling that bad, and it's going around.   So, I may be going through a double dose.

Some people go through major withdrawal after a short time, some ppl feel so miserable after using them for a while withdrawal seems like nothing...  I wouldn't wish this on anyone...but maybe it's a good thing and will help me not to use them any longer.  My Dr. Rx's them like candy.   I usually don't take NASAIDS.. aspirn and advil, etc., because I have a marginal ulcer...but even though I'm not taking that many they are helping me with the bone and body aches I'm feeling.

I'm glad you are breezing though this... and I hope it's the best Gift you've ever given yourself.   The road to using them ...even when you seemingly are not abusing the 'scrip is miserable after a while.

Happy Holiday

Thanks Gip,

You are almost out of the woods now.  After almost 48 hours, I am now convinced this is not going to be anywhere near what I thought.  Hate to be a na-na-naaaa-na-naaaa, but I feel very fortunate to have as little discomfort as this.  I too cannot take NSAIDS, they just eat me up inside anymore.  Too bad, because I used to be able to eat nails.

My biggest challenge is when I go to see my Rhumy at the end of Jan.  He is going to be more than willing to get me a new 6 refill script and I really need something for the pain to function at 100%.  I was considering a timed release next time to keep the edge off without the peaks/valleys.  Maybe that can keep me down below 40mg/day.  Either that or some type of patch.  Who knows, but I am wondering if my typical dosage schedule of every 12 hours is one of the reasons the W/D is not too bad.  Maybe having the stuff cleared out/metabolised regularly didnt let the metabolites accumulate and cause the craving. Plus I drink alot of green tea all day to keep the system flushed.

An inexact science for sure, but can't hurt.  Merry Christmas to you as well and hang in there, the finish line is in sight!

My really annoying symptoms lasted about a week.  I didn't realize, at first, that diarrhea was caused by withdrawing.  I was actually relieved that was the cause.  I think that everything will be much better 7-10 days in.  And once you get past that point, it's heavenly.

:-)
