*NEED HELP* Best Way To Taper Methodose While On A Clinic...

Ive been on Methodose (the pink liquid kind) since 2002. I was on 120mg and now im at 70mg and im doing ok on that, its just enough to hold me. anyway it seemed fairly easy to get down to 70mg but now that im at 70mg its like every time i try to drop down a little more i cant sleep, my leggs get restless i get ainxiety etc. Does anyone have any advice on how often and how much to drop my dose without getting so uncomfortable?? &name=criminal

I went to a methadone clinic (the first time) and I was able to get down to 1 milligram from 60. The only way to do it without feeling any withdrawal is to go down 1 milligram every two weeks. I never felt a thing using that method. It is very time consuming but I believe it is the most comfortable way to do it. It took about 120 weeks to fully get clean but you didn't develop a habit overnight so you shouldn't expect to get clean overnight. Good luck and I hope that helps a little.

so how long did you stay on 1mg for? and how did you feel when you walked off the clinic at 1mg ? did u get sick at all?

I stayed on 1 milligram for two weeks and when I got my last dose I felt fine for two days then I did experience some very mild withdrawal symptoms but nothing that is ver uncomfortable or hard to handle and it only lasted about 3 days. It felt like I had a cold and there were no cravings. After that i was home free but don't be like me and not learn your lesson the first time. All that work and here I am back at the clinic. shame on me. Good luck to you, don't make the same mistake I did.
