TAPER OR COLD TURKEY
For someone who is taking 30+ a day...would you recom. cutting back, cold turkey, or tappering???
it just depends on how many i have. when i first get my script (120) I will take 30+ until they're out.... over the weekend sat & sun 20 both days. mon-8, tue-12, and today-5. i might be getting some tonight so i will probably take more.. it's just when i have a lot i take a lot!!
i'm not sure who would agree, but i have found cold turkey is the only way to go.
whether your up to 3 a day, 30 a day, or 50 a day, WD sucks!! tapering takes a TON of discipline. self discipline is non existent in addicts. sorry. every time a tried to taper, my mind would somehow rationalize taking more. when you do that slightly lower dose, its a tease. my mind would always say: f*&k it! you're already high- just take another 3 to get you there!
tapering to some extent is probably the best, but not over the long term. in other words, i would taper as steeply as possible over maybe 3 days, then go CT. get rid of all pills. read thru all the posts on here. they are very helpful.
