To any and all and tink

by Dpilot, Feb 21, 2007 12:00AM
Thank you to those who stuck up for me as I stuck up for others.
I do believe we are all here for one reason and one reason only.
That reason is help.
Thanks to those who have given it to me, and you're welcome to those to whom I have given it.
To those that are not addicts I am more than happy to answer your questiions no matter how personal they may be, because it is through knowledge about your addicted loved ones that you may be able to help them.
To those that are addicts, I am also more than happy to help and answer your questions, because it is through service work in the 12th step that I will remain sober myself.
To tink, I hold no resentments, because resentments are the number one offender of our serenity and therefore our sobriety.
I hope I can help you in the future, and you will help me if I ask for it. I am ready to say I am sorry for offending and belittleing you, and I hope you will accept my sincerest appology, as someone stated earlier maybe we can all learn from this experience.
We are all here for help no matter where we came from, and in that matter, we are no different than each other.

PS this will be my last post reguarding this matter.
From now on, I will only post reguarding current questions and comments.
There is a saying in AA:
If you have 1 foot in today,
and 1 foot in tomorrow,
You're pissing all over today.
Thanks and good luck everyone!

i dont hold resenments or anger twords anyone, it only wears us down and i think we all here have enough weight on shoulders already. its easy to misunderstand comments being they are online and can be yaken out of context. i will be honest w/ the whole PMS thing really hurt my feelings as i had a hysterectomy at a young age (27). it is hard for men to understand, but i think alot of woman do. when you lose that part of your body, are unable to have children anymore i dont feel like a "whole woman" so that comment hit me close to home. But that is also one of triggers for abusing my meds., anger at what i've had to go thru in life, and something i'm learning to deal w/ and no longer cover up w/ pills.

no hard feelings and yes it is a learning experience for us all, we are all trying to "find our way" while we may be taking different paths to get there, we are trying to get to the same place. i'm off to bed, hopefully to get some sleep.

tomorrow will be a GOOD DAY!!!

Thank you, and not knowing your situation I was truely unthoughtful, and now knowing it, am very sorry for you. I know other women in your situation, and it is a trigger for them also. Please don't hesitate, if I can help you in anyway I am willing.

Good Night

Dpilot and to all,

People are hurting, there depressed, there in pain, there in W/Ds, there lonely, they feel guilt.
I didn't take your words as harsh even though they were not directed at me.
I have been sober a year and wouldnt dare put my self above anyone here.
I remember when I was there very clearly, I also know what it takes for recovery. It is very nice when I go to NA meetings that I can announce myself as a recovering addict.
My journey has been long to recovery addiction is so frigging powerful. One thing in NA and AA is you can't force feed anything to anybody you will only drive them away.
When I have been on 12 step duty and we go and save people in a bad way our duty is to get them home or safe and hopefully we will see them at the next meeting.
The big book explains how its done,

Now that was an awesome post....I am glad you have decided to stay and like I said we are all here for ONE reason, and as you have said the same.
Now we can ALL continue to help one another..I think your post was very sincere, graceful with much dignity, and I think we all can appreciate that. I am happy honestly to have seen this all work out.

So I say:
AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have brought something up and would like your opinion. I would like to get us together on yahoo messenger so that we can all communicate together, a simulated chat room sort of speak...just bouncing the idea off some people.........

You know something..I have been wanting to ask this..but I am sure it is a B**ch to write it all over again. I was MIA when you came here so I do not know of your experince/s.

Would you mind sharing with me your story? Or is that too much to handle? I understand if it is...I was just curious and I love to read from everyone's experiences and or stories of their addiction. I find it very helpful and it also gives me a sense of "knowing" the person behind the writing.

If anything, maybe even copy and paste from your past post, or let me know where it is and what it is labled? I am sure it is wayyyy back yonder, LOL.
Again if it will upset you in anyway, I understand if you do not want to share.

Thank you much!
