harm caused by addiction to beer and nyquil liquidcaps

by mack78, Mar 03, 2007 12:00AM
I have a roommate/friend who drinks at laest 10 cans of beer everynight and takes a nyquil liquidcap (or two) before he falls asleep.  This person has not exercised in years, snores heavily, and claims that the only way he will be able to sleep is by drinking before he goes to bed.  I tell him that alcohol inhibits "good sleep".  What bodily/mental risks does he have and what will eventually be temporarilly and permanently damaged, besides his liver?  What steps can he take to stop his behavior?
