methdone detox what is buprenorphine

hi can antbody help i am trying to detox of methdone i was on 150 ml of liquid a day at xmas of 06 i started comeing down i am now at 70 ml . somebody please help what can i do to come off the methdone . also what is buprenorphine does it help .

It's a new drug that acts much the same way methadone does but it's easier to get off and I believe most patients just take it temporarily.  You cannot gte high from it so there is less chance of abuse.  This website can help you find out about it and to find a dr in your area.  It says there is a 30 patient limit but that's been changed to 100 per dr.

TO MY KNOWLEDGE, METHADONE DETOX IS BEST DONE WITH A VERY SLOW STEP DOWN THE WAY YOU ARE DOING IT. BUPRNORPINE IS AN OPIATE BLOCKER WITH AN ADDITIVE CALLED NARCAN. I DONT THINK THAT IS YOUR ANSWER. THERE IS SOMETHING ELSE CALLED SUBUTEX WHICH IS BUPRENORPIHINE WITHOUT THE NARCAN. YOU DONT WANT AN OPIATE ANTAGONIST IN ANY DRUG YOU TAKE THAT CONTAINS OPIATES OR YOU WILL BECOME VERY ILL. I CAME OFF 160MG. OF METHADONE 30 YEARS AGO. IT WAS DONE BY THE CLINIC I ATTENDED AND I DID NOT EVEN KNOW I WAS OFF IT FOR THREE WEEKS UNTIL THEY TOLD ME. IF DONE PROPERLY AND SLOWLY, YOU DONT HAVE TO SUFFER.  WHAT IS THE  RUSH ANYWAY.

P.S. YOU CAN ALSO TAKE REGULATED DOSES OF DARVON TO HELPL WITH THE DETOX OF METHADONE, BUT  ONLY FOR SHORT PERIODS. OF TIME.

james b63 god i am so so so glad to here you say this all i have herd is one war story after the other. i have hicked dope persoct  booze, and smokes one way or the other. but for some reason i am really scared about the meth.
