That's so good to hear! Doctors like thatare becoming harder to find by the milisecond. My doctors have been treating me since I was 8 years old and I only see specialists(they are more likely to not be so anal about rx's) Anyway they know, b/c they've put me on every sinus and allergy med known to man and have continued refills on my tussionex b/c they know it's really the only thing that works and can keep my allergies at bay and allow me to function during the day.

you are soooo right!!! i had 2 children (a c-section with one of them) and it got extremely worse after...by the time i had my hyesterectomy my uterus had attached fully to my abdomen, the dr said he couldnt believe i was even able to walk!!!! you are having a laporoscopy??? be CAREFULL!!!! i've had 8 total and alot of my chronic pain is from all the scar tissue left behind from the surgeries that were supposed to help me. if you have any other questions about endo, please feel free to ask me. i know quite alot about it.
luv ya,
tink :)
I'm here anytime you need me. I really did think the pain from endo went away after a hysterectomy. I'm glad you educated me, but I wish it was true because you wouldn't be in pain right now. Your pain must be horrible and you're strong to not jump in and take the pills. I'm sure they offer some strong and addictive stuff for that kind of pain. I wish there was more than I could do.
I'm thinking of you...hugs....LS
I'm so sorry for what you're going through. I myself know what it's like. The docs don't know much..... I'm sorry but if this wa a disorder that men were diagnosed with they would have a cure already. They told me to get pregnant,...... I did, it came back worse than ever.
Next week I have to have yet another laproscopic suregery to clear out sacr tissue but inthe meantime the pain is absolutely unbearable and this is coming from someone who was in stage 2 hard labor for over 20 hours!!!
Anyway, I am praying for you......
god i wish all i needed was a hyterectomy!!!! i'm 32 yrs old, and had a hysterectomy at 27yrs old!!!! it plays an emotional toll on me, cause i can no longer have kids and my b/f doesnt have any of his own. i was diaganosed at age 19 and the dr told me it was so bad i wouldnt be able to have childen by age 25 (so he was pretty close) i've had a total of 8 surgeries so far and sometimes the pain from the scar tissue is worse than the endo!!! some ppl and even dr.'s think after a hysterectomy the endo goes away, but NOT TRUE!!! so you can see why this is soooo frustrating for me... i have enough issues w/ the hydrocodone and in the past have been rx oxycotin ( but i have NEVER gotten it filled) i refuse to up my pain meds. i see how the hydro has consumed my life and WONT move up to a stronger pain med. i think the only thing i can do now is pray for strength....
thank you for you post and care, it means alot to me, i'm gonna need alot of support as i go thru this....your a real sweetheart....
luv ya,
tink :)
Any words?.....no. This is one of those times when you don't say a word and give a big long hug and just be there. I know it has to be unbelievably difficult to think about taking opiates, especially something as strong as oxycodone. Your dotor really should be assuring you that you will be safely weaned off of the meds. once you don't need them anymore. Some friends and family that are dotors have seen quite a few patients that need the oxyodone for pain and since they were addicts they didn't feel comortable taking them. Some of them end up in the ER in withdrawal b/c it was so scary to continue taking them. Most doctors just won't ever understand what it's like to be an addict. Of ourse I know more than my fair share of doctors that are addits to one thing or another. Like I always say (and mean it) xoxo( hugs and kisses) oooooooo(and a few more hugs)- D.
that was a wonderful response, it is very, very scary!!! but i keep telling myself "what doesnt kill me, will only make me stronger"....
i consider myself lucky, my doctor is very understanding, he is fully aware of my problems with narcotics, i am 100% honest with him and he tries to work with me. i'm so happy to have finally found a doctor i feel comfortable enough with to be honest and will understand. also i am waiting to get health insurance and he gives me a 50% disc, today he changed that to 75% (i only pay $25 for an office visit) he knows how expensive ALL of my meds are and wants to be sure i can afford them.
thank you again...

Honey I am so sorry , There is nothing worse than having chronic pain and you cant do anything about it. I have 2 herninated discs and bursitis in my right hip and I have TMJ(which is acting up and the only thing I've takin is 3 800mg of IBU). I work as a witress and its hard on my body I hate it but its good money.
Really the only thing you can do to relieve the pain is have your uterus removed , leave the ovaries though. But you dont have insurance right?
Chit. Does your area hospital have a indigent program ? have you contacted the dept of human resources in your state? Just some suggestions . I will pray for you and keep you there , let us no what happens we all love and care for you xxoo
My sister had endo and the pain was horrible, so that gives me some insight as to how you're feeling. She eventually had to have hysterectomy and has been fine ever since.
I hope your problem can be taken care of with a pain med that isn't too strong, but does the job. However. endo is so painful, I don't know if they can.
Keep posting so we know how you're doing please,
Take Care....Hugs....LS
