Question

I started with about 16mg but it wasn't enough in the beginning. So I went up to 20mg for about a week. Then I went back down to 16mg for a week and now I am at 12mg. I decided to do maintenance and right now I am not thinking about when to come off of it. I don't take them all at once. I like to split the pills and take them several times during the day. That part is all psychological. I was popping pills around the clock so it helps me learn to break that cycle.

hey, just a quick question for you. you said you're on day 7 (actually day 10 or 11 now). How many mg's/day were you taking? and how long were you on the suboxone before completely stopping?

I started out at 16mgs a day.  I didn't see a question so I'll just write about my experience... I was on that amount for about 18 days including the detox unit of 10 days... the doc gave me that for 7 days and every week it diminished by 4mgs.  It worked very well and the first few days back, I'll bet people thought that I was a sub salesmam.  They key is to get off isn't it?  I have been off for 7 days and I don't really like the way that I feel but it's comfortable plus believe it or not I just jogged about a mile at the school.  Felt pretty good.
