Your probably an addict so your read your own interpertation into my words...
It hurt me dearly to write those words but I thought she was looking for truth.......
I gave it to her and answered her question of what I would do.......
Guilt is part of being an addict.......
I try very hard to help people but sometimes truth burns like holy water on Reagan.......and then their are posts like yours......

C10 Tooo Harsh You guys are soooo harsh!!! I think she knows very well that she 's got to quit.
She was just looking support(UNCONDITIONAL)!!!
I bet if this was one of you regulars here posting that ?, it would have been totally different.
I could almost feel how hurt must have been.....sad......sad......sad
Just my opinion, and how i observed it.
I also see , when a newby posts a ? and one of you respond and then you start talking among youself and seem yo just ignore the one who was asking for help..
I don't mean to be harsh. buttt.......
I do get alot of good advice from alot of the posts here, but i do see alot of (well not a loott) but some neg. stuff or something like that, just can't seem to describe what the negativeness is ...uhmmmmmm?

C11 NneedHope PLEASE READ I hope you read this... hydrocodone IS safe during pregnancy in small doses and the baby will NOT suffer wihdrawals if stopped a month or so BEFORE delivery BUT even in the worst case scenario, if you weren't able to stop, they can treat the withdrawl symptoms if they know about it.
Suboxone and Subtex are NOT approved dring pregnancy yet at all so it's not wise to tell her to do that AND going c/t is extremely DANGEROUS for the baby as it will cause the mother's body to react insuch a stressful way it could very easily cause a miscarriage.
Beach, I respect your posts and 99.9% of the time I agree but you cannot simply dish out your generic "you're an addict, stop and get help now" speech to everyone... this situation, however sad, is a little different.
Perhaps she should just get through this pregnncy and then try and deal with the underlying issues of why she is abusing the medication afterwards.
Sweetheart, try and wean down. I don't know how many you're taking but less is best. Be honest with your doctors and take care of you.
Just so you know.... I was prescribed vicodin and percocet throughout my entire pregnancy by a nationally renowned pero-natal specialist. I manaed to wean down to nothing beforemy last trimester. My daughter was and is very healthy and smart.
Best of luck to you.
And Marcatj... How Dare You???
"this isn't just your life you are f***ing with - it's a childs!"
We've all done things in our addiction we are not proud of. I'd like to see you post about all the f-ed things you've done?? This woman came for help and you judge her? Sh eis not intentionaly hurtin her baby. She came because she does not want to do so. We all know that the addict loses their option for rational choice at one point or another. if someone sid to her, "take these pills and take a chance of hurting your unborn child or stop now" do you think she would consciously continue to take the pills?
Seriously people, if you live in a glass house...............
