People on this forum....Clarification on DUTCHESS

Hi - PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE POST BEFORE YOU RESPOND OR GO OFF ON ME - HOPEFULLY YOU WON'T :)

I just wanted to stop and put an end to this. Last night Dutchess posted an invitation to A DRUG FREE party YES DRUG FREE. She invited people on the forum where they could meet her and stuff. She named a DJ's birthday. THATS all. THATS it. Nothing more. As for the porno star bit. I am sure that regular average joes may share a name with a celebrity in that field. Can we please stop attacking people, this is getting ridiculous. I suggest if you have nothing nice to say than dont say it. I couldn't believe the rumors that flew by about an innocent post by Dutchess. I for one do not know her at all but come on people if you read into a post and add your own thoughts to make it sound vile and than start spreading that stuff as facts i have a serious problem with that. People on here seem to jump the gun on everything. As far as the newbies go I am new here too and people on here are great to me. A lot of new people are acting over sensitive to this. For that matter do you blame people from staying away.

Every other day it is I AM LEAVING and SO AM I. I mean this is an addiction forum and if people don't want to talk to you than they dont have to. It's not about clicks or popularity it is about recovery. People on here need not to jump the gun and judge. I find it funny  people are talking a great game about faith and God on here yet they are the first to go off on people. People on here who are not addicted seem to go off on people too. (THIS DOESNT APPLY TO EVERYONE)

I WAS SAVED BY THIS FORUM, I FINALLY CONNECTED WITH PEOPLE WHO ARE OR WERE GOING THROUGH THE SAME THING I WENT THROUGH. Please this is what this forum is about. There is a greater goal here that is bigger than you or I - that goal is RECOVERY. It is not about drama it is about RECOVERY. Rememeber this when you post. Please I implore you all.

Hi there, I read the post last night from Dutchess.  I have to say that I really did not even think anything about her inviting people to a party until the guy posted saying he did not think it was appropriate for an addiction forum.  But if she mentioned the words "drug free party" it was not in her initial post was it?  If so, then I don't see why the person would have commented like he did.  Maybe she said such in a follow-up reply.  Your memory may be better than mine though.

I remember we chatted about movies right? Did you like the sopranos ending? i don't know how i felt about. Clever or Mad lol...As far as the Dutchess thing she mentioned it in clarification in the second post but in here first she mentioned recovery party. How is everything going with you?

Oh my God - I actually took a vacation day so I could go visit my daughter out of town and we could watch Sopranos together.  We were both so upset at the ending!  I feel so cheated.  What is the deal with these producers or writers or whoever that think it is so clever to give us an ending like that?  If I had to write my own ending from that, I would said that they were all shot in the end, the whole family.  I think the man who was sitting at the booth and staring at them and then walked to the restroom was giving a signal to the two black men who then walked into the restaurant that it was clear to shoot.  I think it was kind of cool though how it was just Paulie and Tony at the end, do you realize that every single person over the years who worked for Tony is now dead?  Over the years, they have all been killed off at different times, leaving only Paulie and him.  I am glad that Paulie did not die even though he could really irritate me at times.  See I told you - you got me started!

Actually I agree. I said the same exact thing to my dad. When it first happened we checked the connections and thought are cable went out. Then we felt cheated. I would like to think they just ate dinner. However, I like how you put it lol great minds think a like. Guess what I am watching right now? Christy ......I am on the episode where she is talking to child who was abused by his dad. THIS WAS SUCH A GREAT SHOW WHY IN THE WORLD WAS IT CANCELED :(

Cannot believe you are watching Christy - look at us, going from Sopranos to Christy!  Now, are you male or female?  If you are male, I am really impressed that you like Christy.  My husband always gave me a hard time about my "squirrely music" and "squirrely movies".  I hope I spelled that right!  I finally had waited long enough that I could rewatch all my Christy videos again not long ago.  Do you have the complete set?  I don't know why that show was cancelled, guess it was just too good, and I started to say not enough violence, but actually someone was always shooting at something or on the run!  Can you believe she married the doctor instead of the preacher?  Did you know though, in real life, she did marry the preacher?  Well, maybe I will put Christy in now so we can watch together.

You definitely should lol. Yeah i can't believe she married the Doctor either because she had such a connection with the preacher. Oh by the way I am male. I actually have a wide taste or range of shows i like. Christy was by far one of the best. Oh and Tyne Daily - Judging Amy - another great show she was in. Gosh!! the show was even nominated for an emmy and outstandling supporting actress - Tyne Daily. I hate when they cancel. Just like Jericho but i hear it is coming back midseason lets cross our fingers. I know right Sopranos to Christy. LOL

Gosh I don't know what to say to you both other than the irony is that those who berated you than had conversations on the same forum with people they knew..wierd... I just wanted to say sorry for the comments some made but hey it only makes us stronger. I laughed when i read your convo. I think you for some reason are targeted. Oh well...Hope you both are doing OK..Oh boy I can already feel the heat for this one. Shelby thanks for the advice you gave me before, stay strong.

P.S. Medhelp monitors screenames and IP addresses if a member has 2 ongoing one screename appears therefore it is impossible that Tim and Shelby are one - they wouldn't be able to post within the same time frame. Once you logon in with your screen name, until you completely restart your computer your name remains in there. Tim would have to be super fast like faster than speed of light.

Like I would say come party with me and my friend joe smith, uh uh,,this drama WAS closed until your attempt to cover that person by lieing for her ,,,or you. Shame on you. Come back tomorrow and tell the people who read it your story not when no one is here.

Yeah,

I read the entire post with Dutchess, and even replied about it. It was her, and she did say it was a 'drug free party'...

However, the post was deleted, and I have to admit that it did not sound like Dutchess normal writing....I myselft even got a little confused as to what exactly it was, and she commented on putting the post under "misc' instead of "drugs"...but everyone in here that is trying to recover, still can read it.

That is why a new member was questioning it, because he did not understand why anyone would be posting parties for an "addiction forum"...that is after he said that he looked up the name and said it was some "porn star", but who knows?

The best way is just to ask Dutchess herself!

I'm thanful there are groups like this.  Do I think I am addicted.  I don't know yet.  I don't know how to tell?  I have pain all the time but I try to just deal with it.  I find myself denying myself my medicine because I'm scared I will run out.  I know I have a high tolerance for pain.  I just don't know if it is good for me to either take the meds or be in pain.

I know that I am not sure that I'm addicted. but I hope I can stay because I see post that make me feel like someone understands me.

i am 16 days clean and my new addiction this board. If you go over to a post earlier from that night I had responded to a new person and asked Dutchess if she knew anything about what the new person was going through. Dutchess then put up that post. I was reading just about everything when Dutchess comes on I am sure she will explain it. Anyhow! Enough of that.....Terry how is everything going for you? Ok I hope but you will be in my prayers.

You are right. i just felt like everyone was attacking her and i was like hold on a minute i read that post. My feeling in this case - I believe her to be a good person she hasn't wronged me and i feel like if i said nothing at all then i am just as guilty as those who are trying to discredit her. When i read something just like when you read something we BOTH picked up different things. Yes. she did mention why she posted under misc. and the DJ thing. She responded to a statement labeled a recovery party - she said it is and it is not but she expressed Drug Free. However, when she comes on she can explain that. I just wanted to do the christianly thing - WWJD lol I do understand it was friday night and i posted saturday morning but i was sleeping then lol anyways
