Why no w/d symptoms like i read inhere?

Question

Thanx to all that have replied to my posts. I dont feel any anxiety now and i dont have the runs or any flu syptoms. The reason i stop was because anxiety attack freaked me out and i thought it was the pills. I think i was having a bad dream or maybe im wrong. I felt alot of anxiety yesterday but today was good and right now i feel great exept for my back. Do you guys/Gals think im addicted or did i just get scared of anxiety attack? So if I understand you correctly medically speaking there is no cure for your back pain, you will have it for the rest of your life, so you will be on pain pills for the rest of your life?
That is very sad that no doctor on this planet is qualified to help you........

I have been thru it all therapy acupuncture, injections, and the big surgery that left me with failed spinal surgery syndrome. My spinal cord nerves are all wraped up in tons of scar tissue. They tried lysis of adhision injections and a spinal cord stimulator and they did not work. I did not get anxiety attack because i did not have pills i just woke up from a dead sleep with an anxiety attack and i thought it was the pills so i flushed them down the toilet. today is day 3 and all i feel is back pain and this tremendous shooting and burning pain going down my right leg (Normal pain for me) i think that the anxiety attack scared me chitless.

Your question is are you addicted to pills or not?

You say you have been taking perocets for two and a half years for back pain.......why so long? 
Why haven't you corrected you back pain and decided to self medicate for over two years?
Is your plan to keep taking them for 10 or 20 more years?

When you hurt your back you see a specialist, have an MRI and then either go to theropy or have surgery to fix the problem....how is taking percs for two and a half years fixing the problem with your back.....

Two and a half years has given your back tons of time to heal even if it heals wrong.......
To answer your question I would say yes.......you have convinced yourself that you have legitamate pain from a back injury that entitles you to self medicate with percs for years......this is a common justifcation for an addict.........

Your getting mail order pills Saturday if your not an addict cancel your order and walk away from them.........if your not an addict this should be very easy to do........

I was taking them for chronic back pain and about 5 to 8 5mg percs a day maybe less on other days for about 2 1/2 years.

That is great...how long has it been since you stopped?? Well that is nto a hugh amount but still you should of had a couple bad days in my opinion...BUT just thank god you didn't...I really hope it stays that way...

I was not using to get high only to deal with back pain. I woke up monday morning at about 4:00am with an anxiety attack and i freaked out and thru my pills away. I get more pills in the mail on saturday. Im not freaking out that i dont have pills but my back hurts like crazy and i thru them out..lol i guess i will find out by saturday if im addicted or should i have known by now?

Okay, sometimes if we are actually taking them just for the pain and the pain alone...We won't go through all the w/d's as others do. Did you ever feel like just taking them to get a good feeling out of them?
My friend who was in a horribel motorcycle accident almost 4 years ago is on percocets, 5-325...she takes up to 8 a day sometimes less.. but takes them everyday. She takes them only for the pain and for no other reason. She can run out and go weeks without them and has no affect on her what so ever. 
It is our brain that tells us we are addicted, especially if we are taking them to get that good feeling, but i think if you are just taking them for the actaul pain you won't go through the nasty w/d's when you quit.
It's just how our brain works...Hopefully you are one of the lucky ones...Be thankful...LOL cause the w/d's suck....

I am not sure where that came from...Sometimes this happens to people and might not have anything to do with the percs. Maybe ask your doc. to prescribe you something for anxiety...Like aprazalam or something like that...I know that there were times even before i had ever taken percs. that i would have anxiety attacks and this is what the dr. gave to me. Just a thought...Or maybe it was cause of the bad dream you had...could be all kinds of different reasons...Take the next few days one by one and see how you feel...then let me know, ok?
