still clean

by justlikeyou, Jul 06, 2007 12:00AM
60+ days, things continue to get better, i feel more energetic and less uncomfortable every day, i have noticed however that leaves only 1 real issue,

me,

i can be my own worst enemy, my attitude sometimes stinks, my mission now that i dont have to worry about pills or withdrawls is to work at appreciateing what i have and doing the best i can for my self, and others.

the self centerd self obsessed lazy greedy resentful aspects of my self may ruin my life if i dont watch it.

this may be the hardest part yet?

and has to be done to avoid slipping backwards.

love you all.............

Yep, what you describe is the recovery part of the process.   Physical recovery takes time and lots of work and so does emotional, spritual, mental recovery.

It is great to hear that you want to live happy.    I think one of my biggest disappointments was that once I got off drugs I didn't automatically feel happy.  Drugs were/are not my only problem, just a symptom.  It was my outlook and that desire for a qucik fix to long-term problems that got me in trouble.
