Help! Hayfever and Pregnancy

by pookie81, Jun 19, 2006 12:00AM
I am worried that I could have harmed my baby because I have taken Claritin (Loratadine) three days in a row because I have very bad hayfever. This is the only thing that works for me after trying natural remedies etc and eye drops. I am 26 weeks pregnant. Thank you for any help you may be able to give me.

i would make sure you tell your dr and maybe see an allergist.  I am just about 30 weeks and have suffered allergies even worse since I have been pregnant.  I take zyrtec every nite and i use flonase at really bad times. I also have asthma though and have to keep my allergies under control.  I dont know what category claritin is but I would think 3 days is ok.  talk to your dr.  and i wanta tell you, zyrtec would never have helped me prior to pregnancy..i get some bad attacks...but taking it every day has made them less severe and the flonase has helped as well.  good luck w/ a healthy rest of pregnancy.
