Horrible Sinus Pressure, Pain, Dizziness, Vision Problems

Wow, the thread's still going!  I just came back to update (I used to be stacia123, I posted above and in some other threads but had to change my username) and I'm surprised so many have posted here.

Last year I had several months of the same symptoms you all have had (headaches, facial pressure, dizziness, fatigue) and it caused a lot of anxiety, especially because of the dizziness and ringing in the ears.  However I never had much drainage.  I can feel things moving around in my sinus cavities and sometimes it makes my eyes water, like I need to sneeze but can't.  Drainage is usually down the back of my throat, and I get a lot of earaches and sore throats.

My GP was unsympathetic even though he could tell antibiotics had helped my symptoms.  He eventually decided I was a hypochondriac, so I went to an ENT, who spent maybe 12 seconds with me and announced I had nothing wrong, not even seasonal allergies.  So frustrating!

Right when I went to the ENT in January my husband and I both got bad colds.  The weird thing is that after all the nasal drainage from the cold, I felt a TON better and my sinus symptoms went away for months.

Oddly, my husband's cold turned into a sinus infection, and now he's had two sinus infections in 6 months.  He's never had sinus infections before.  I'm convinced there's something in this house making our normal seasonal allergies worse.  We'd just moved into the house 2 months before all my problems started.

When seasonal allergies started in the spring many of my symptoms returned.  I've had a lot of relief by using saline nasal rinses and air purifiers.  When it gets bad I have a humidifier on in the bedroom at night, even in the summer.  We use furnace/ac filters with allergen filtration and a vacuum with several filters on it.  I make sure I dust and vacuum regularly and we use dust masks a lot.  Our mold test came back negative but I'm still not convinced, because the previous owners hid water damage from us (and the home inspector didn't catch it) so I suspect hidden mold in the walls which we'll have to deal with eventually.

None of this has cured me but it's made things tolerable. The biggest improvement I've seen is in the dizziness, which has abated quite a bit and has made everyday life a lot more bearable.

How did you treat Candida?  Is there any definitive test to tell if you have it?  The diet is so restrictive it's hard to follow, especially not knowing if it'll work.
I have been suffering from increasingly worse sinus symptoms for almost 2 years now.  Worst is the pressure that seems to build at the top of my nose, and this 'fuzzy' feeling that makes my whole head/face feel inflamed.
I took some antibiotics, seemed to make things better for about a week and a half, but now I seem to be sensitive to sugar and especially beer.  Get a flush feeling in my head and can't concentrate at all!

26,m, i have been going through this for well over a year now. i have horrible pain /pressure in my cheeks ,forehead ,and eyes. ive been real dizzy at moments. ive seeen my primary doc 20 times 2 seperate ents a neurologist . ive had ct scan xrays every antibiotic known to man . at best felt ok for maybe 2 week span. but every time gets worst . my glands in my neck are buldging out . my vision gets hazy when pressure is bad i get these dizzy spells pretty much daily sometimes 1 sometimes 5 times a day. my nose seems pretty clear no drip cant blow anything. i am so sick and tired of being sick and tired. i just want some sort of relief. my ct scan says i have mild deviated septum and slight build up of mucus in maxofacial sinus,ENT says neither could be causeing my problems must see neurologist i went to see neuorologist he said i should go to Ent i give up any help???

I have many of the same symptoms as are mentioned here but am getting better (rocking sensation, apparent deviated septum per my ENT but no sinus trouble, blood shot retina and sore eyes, etc.) I am taking a two step approach to my problems: mercury amalgams and aspartame poisoning. Will post my story later as my treatment is still ongoing. Just wondering though, do all of you drink diet soda?

I have had what you have all described for years!! You all sound like me!! I have done the test, xrays, meds, everything. All for nothing. Until I met the Neti Pot!   Google it! You can pick one up at any health food store or online. Its a tea pot looking thing that you fill  with warm salt water. You flush you nose/ sinus with it. It is awesome! I have got my whole family hooked. What a relief!
The salt water flushes, reduces inflammation in the sinus, ears, nose, promotes drainage. Wonderful!

How long did you use it for before noticing improvements? Bought one of those and used it for a month with no noticeable improvements. After that, it's been great at watering my potted plants..

Has anyone here considered getting tested for sleep apnea? I have many of the same symptoms that many of you are describing and just found out I have sleep apnea and get terrible sleep. For the record I'm not overweight, my apnea just flairs up because my nose shuts during sleep thanks to my septum. I'm still awaiting my c-pap machine (this has all been diagnosed this past month, and it moves slow) but the one night I was tested and slept with the machine I awoke to no headaches, better posture, and sinus relief. I believe the machine actually helped dry out my sinus a bit too, and flushed it.
Bad sleep can cause a person tons of problem, and for people with sinus pressure, it only helps create more headaches.

Anyone else suffer from allergy related sinusitis?

I am and how my pressure problems and dizziness may not be as prominent as some of your's, I constantly feel drained of my energy and suffer from mild headaches.

Anyone share some symptoms?

God...reading all of your comments I feel so bad for everyone. Because I too have been dealing with sinus pressure, dizziness, ear aches for the past month.  My ENT said he isn't sure if it's my Meniere's attacks (severe vertigo) returning (haven't had one in over 3 years since my treatments stopped).  I have been tracking the humidity and it seems I am worse when the humidity reaches 80% or higher.  I take Allegra and a nose spray daily.  My ENT says there is nothing he can do unless I have another "attack". (actual spinning with vomiting / diarhea).

It is so frustrating because one minute I am fine (humidity low) and an hour later I am walking like a drunk and nauseous (humidity high).  Not sure if any of you have had the bad vertigo attacks but with those I never went anywhere alone, didn't drive for months and felt like a prisoner.  I am so afraid of that "fear" coming back.  Not sure what else to do.

Hang in there all !
