Heat RASH and swelling

My son who is 18 breakes out in a heat rash that then turns into swelling around the eyes when he works out at the gym with me.I t also happene swhen he runs around the track outside. He plays Hockey, and strange as it sounds, the symptons to do not occur while he's playing buit once the pads are removed the heat rash kicks in.

Any ideas?

Hi,

What you describe seems like sweat dermatitis or heat rash.

He should try to keep the area dry and clean. Try some powder to absorb the sweat. Use a medicated sunscreen lotion - preferably one prescribed by a skin specialist.

If the symptoms are still persistent, consult a dermatologist and get a proper clinical evaluation done.
