Am I OK?

by LittleBlue00k, Feb 26, 2007 12:00AM
I know my skin is allergic to squid. However, 2 months ago, I accidentally ate them. I went to the doctor, he gave me a shot (don’t really remember what it called) and medicines for allergic. It did get better however, while using the medicine, sometimes my body just turned red, especially after taking a shower, especially my right hand -  it felt like something burning, really uncomfortable, however, after 5 minutes or later, the uncomfortable feeling just gone.

I got a little bit scared so I went to the doctor again. He gave me different medicine because I told him that when I’m using the medicine that he gave me, I got a little bit headaches. This medicine works great so after using it for 5 days, I just stopped using it because I thought I’m getting better. However I still noticed to red dot appear again. It always appear when I slept and I'm starting to noticed to pale border around my hand (about 1 cm) and another one around my shoulder. It really tiny, you can’t really see it until you actually look closely into the skin.

my right hand also turned red again, however it didn’t happen every time I touched the water - and the uncomfortable feeling and redness just disappeared after 5 minutes or so.

Sorry, if this is too long but I’m really scared right now

Thanks a lot!

It sounds like you need to see a doctor who specializes in allergies. (Allergist)  You may have more going on than just an allergy to squid - especially if you're still having skin rashes!
