Reaction to Foam Putty
My son made himself a beard out of foam putty from a vending machine and has broke out in a read rash and whelps are forming?  I have been unable to get any information from the vending company. How should I treat this?  He is 13.

Usually physicians' will prescribe Benadryl for these kind of allergic reactions (its available OTC at any pharmacy or convenient store. Benadryl can make people tired, so most people take in the evening.

I'd make sure to contact the manufacturer of the product as see what they say the 'intended use' is for the product - I'd be really upset if my son had a reaction from something that was to be "safe and non-toxic"!! I'm curious as to where you got the putty? In a Mall? Restaurant? Someone fills those machines and owns them...it's important they know a product in there caused concern to a parent and child!

p.s. i also agree with PlateLet gal - Benedryl is great. Just be sure to give the correct, intended dosing.
