Are Epipens Painful?

by Shagadelic, Mar 31, 2007 12:00AM
I have to carry an epipen with me due to my recent discovery of fish allergy. Is the epipen painful when used?

It's a very small bored and length needle. It depends on your tolerance to pain. Some say it feels like a sweat bee sting others say a wasp sting. I wouldn't really worry that much about it because it will definitely save your life in the event of an allergic crisis.  Make sure to check vitamins and supplements for fish oils, too. They can be in a lot of things. Best of luck with you, tmv
