Swollen Face after 23 hours on a fishing boat in the gulf of mexico

by beck25, Apr 25, 2007 12:00AM
My husband went fishing in the Gulf of Mexico out of Carrabelle FL and the boat broke causing them to be out there for 23 hours. since he has been home his face has swollen up. He has taken 2 Benadryl tablets but they are not working. What else can this be and what should we do?

Is his throat clear? ((he's not havivng trouble breathing?)) Did you eat or drink anything on the boat that he's reacting too? or perhaps a sunscreen that was new?  I would call your doctor and at least have them be aware of his situation. If his breathing becomes labored - go to the e/r - don't push it off as no big deal...
