Hi again, Im having trouble with my sleeping patterns I go to bed around 12pmish and im not waking till at least 12-1pm the next day im on rivitril for my anxiety, but im worried im sleeping to much, im not even out of bed to get my children ready for school.  when I do finally get out of bed i feel horrible all day.  I am only on a low dose of rivitrol and was just wondering if anyone else has this problem...Last nite I went to bed at 1.30am and slept soundly until 1.oopm today im really worried about this as its making my anxiety worse. Can anyone help me.  Also my diet is very poor and im hardly ever eating could this be contributin to my problems.  Please help me.

I am not familiar with the drug that you are on....try talking to the doctor about the side effects....maybe he can give you something else...

Also, have you tried to change the sleep pattern by trying to go to bed earlier each night until you are at reasonable times?

Diet can play a role in how you are feeling.  I have read other posts on this website about people who changed there diet and began eating healthy feeling so much better....maybe a trip to a nutritionist???

Feel better.

Diet contributes, sleep (lack of, or irregular) also contributes, so does caffiene, sugar, etc.  The timing of when you eat is also important, as it relates to getting a restful, full night of sleep.  I have had good luck with taking the occasional half-Ambien, but it also sometimes triggers a smidge of anxiety (an odd feeling in my chest), and I have to be in the right state of mind before taking one.  The bonus to that is that you can reset your sleep cycle to the times you need it to be, and you stay out all night, most of the time.  If you live with someone, it'd be good to have them around the first few times you take it, in case you start getting the idea to get behind the wheel of a car, or some such undesirable result.
