I just started Klonopin 5 days ago, and it has prevented me from getting sick.  That may be because my panic disorder seems to center on my stomach.

Then again, I have read somewhere that Klonopin has anti-emetic properties and has been prescribed to cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy.  I wasn't able to find a lot of information on that use, though.

And then again, I suppose it could be that you are dependent to Klonopin and you might be waiting  a little too long in between doses.

Not sure

You are likely attempting to use the Klonopin PRN (as needed)). Klonopin is not a good PRN choice, as it has a long onset of action, has a relatively long half-life, and requires several days to reach a steady-state plasma level in your system.

To get the optimal benefit from Klonopin, it should be used BID (twice daily), 1/2 mg every 12 hours. Used in this manner, a steady-state plasma level will be established, and your anxiety symptoms will be greatly reduced. Klonopin is the best "maintanence" therapy for anxiety, as it is both potent and long acting.

Perhaps you could discuss maintanence use of Klonopin with your doctor.

debaser,

Ativan is the preferred choice for chemo (to relieve tension and anxiety), usually given as 1-2 mg IV prior to initiation of the chemo. Ativan has a more rapid onset than Klonopin (within minutes given in IV form).

Compazine is a good anti-emetic, as is Phenergan to a lesser extent. For severe cases, Thorazine may be used in lower doses. Compazine given IV is the most typical anti-emetic.
