Yet another Klonopin Question

Actually, two questions:

1. Will the sedation side effect ever wear off?  I've been told different things by different people.  Today I woke up at 7am for work and just couldn't get moving at all.  At 8am I e-mailed a co-worker to say I was going to take a quick nap and then come in.  I didn't get out of the chair before I feel asleep, and was asleep for two hours!

2. I've been on .5 mg BID for eight days.  What would happen if I took a dose, forgot that I took it, and then took another within thirty minutes?

Thanks.   Gotta go...way late for work.

I get a slight sedation feeling, but not enough to make me not able to get up and at 'em...everyone is different and you probably won't get a straight answer!  If it effects you too deeply, let the doctor know and maybe you could half your dose.
I have taken 2 at once by doctor's order at a very difficult time I had.  I doubt that anything bad would happen to you except even more sleep and drowsiness...however, we all react differently and I always heard to forgo a dose instead of taking two if you are not sure...however, your doctor should have the last word on this!

It WILL go away. Eight days isn't very long. Give it at least one month.

Thanks again.  You've been really helpful.  Odd thing...I don't always get the sedation.  Some days I get it and some days I don't. Good to hear that it'll go away, though.

Since you didn't respond to the second part of the question, I assume it wouldn't be a huge deal to take another .5 mg of Klonopin by mistake.

No problem.

#2 (extra 1/2 mg) = greater sedation for 12 hours (but not always). No big deal!
