Ok so of course with the dehydration thing I was trying really hard not to worry about it.....but it wasn't working. the next morning i woke up in a cold sweatSweat electrolytes Sweat test Sweating Sweating - absent and throwing up. It scared the **** out of me and i went to the ER. Figures, the cold sweatSweat electrolytes Sweat test Sweating Sweating - absent and throwing up were due to side effects from the antibiotic the doc gave me the other day. So basically I got all paranoidParanoid personality disorder Paranoid schizophrenia Schizophrenia - paranoid type about nothing (like always....) anyways, I was still kind of dehydrated but really didn't feel comfortable drinking fluids myself and hoping to make sure I was doing everything right, so to ease my mind they gave me an iv anyway. However by this point I was SO INCREDIBLY nevous/axious that I was shaking so they gave me some pill to help me relax and calm down.

I really don't have much to say, but I want you to know that I truly feel for you. The best thing to do is to try to keep busy. If you are still sickSick sinus syndrome, I wouldn't advise on running around the block...try reading a book or cook a recipe...try not to sit idly, it will drive you crazy! Let us know what you decide to do.

is so sorry & would just like to say in advance and again...
PLEASE STOP WORRYING ABOUT DRINKING TOO MUCH FLUIDS. Yes, it has happened but you wouldn't believe the mass quantities of straight WATER you have to drink to die. Mass quantities of water will flush your system out until there are no electrloytes left, which causes your organs to malfunction - namely your heart I believe. Anyway, if you are drinking gatorade - it is full of electrolytes, which is why athletes drink it:) You have to sit down and make yourself trust your body and drink just a little more than usual fluids and eat on ice chips in between if you can. AND PLEASE STOP WORRYING ABOUT BEING DEHYDRATED. I know when I got dehydrated I couldn't even walk - and now that I think about it, I don't think they said I was severely dehydrated really, just dehydrated.
The meds - they will mess your sleep/wake cycle up, but just try to stay awake today, stay busy, preferably some physical activity and then tonight you should be able to sleep. If not, I would, and this is just me, take some bendadryl to get to sleep. Remember this is only temporary so you can pull through. Your body is just a little off right now. Do you not have anything or did they not prescribe anything for sleep or anxiety? If you don't sleep tonight I would get my butt in to the doctor and get started with some therapy or meds or both if necessary to help you through this (I forget if you said on your other post if you had meds/therapy). Don't allow yourself to suffer out of embarassment, money, whatever.
Here's the facts:
1) you're sick, everyone gets sick and it feels aweful
2) you're body is just tired and you are not thinking straight through the anxiety
3) you will not die, you just will feel bad temporarily
4) your body will let you know when to drink - (a little screen for when I'm dehydrated - my lips get dry/chapped)
5) your body will eventually right itself, if you will just try to relax your mind, deep breathe, exercise if you can, all that stuff.
Just remember the facts and hopefully your road will be smoother. Bless your heart I know exactly how you feel.
Take care now
