A few good thoughts

by fluffyrabbits, Apr 18, 2007 12:00AM
1.) Sometimes when I get bouts of anxiety I get like this tight/twitchy feeling around the back of my neck and my arms, does anyone else ever feel stuff like this?

2.) I'm thinking of going to some kind of therapy, but can anyone tell me how to go about doing this? and I'm not sure how long I'll have insurance, so how does this all work?

3.) The perfect description for anxiety: I feel like I look like tweak from south park. Honestly. He reminds me of me. I'm not a boy but you get the picture.

Yep, see my comments to the twitchy doc below.  Therapy - I have 20 sessions per year paid at 60% with my insurance.  I pay to go extra though, nothing is worth it like your sanity!  I agree with the Tweak thing, I liken myself to a squirrel, they are so hyper!

All insurance is different...some have just co-pays, some have percentage.  There is usually a phone number you have to call regarding mental health..mine is called Value Behavioral Health (something like that)  they approve a certain number of sessions and then your pyschiatrist has a "peer review" with them on the phone to decide if you need more sessions or not.  Well, that is the way mine works...I am sure there is a number in your insurance plan book with a phone number to call.  I know that many plans today are finally considering mental health a real concern and are covering more bills for this....best to you.
