Hi trs123! It's all anxiety. Personally, when I'm anxious, I get this strange urge to crash my car into the nearest wall "just to get the anxiety over with". I know it sounds really weird. Whenever I drive and have an axiety attack, I become really conscious of other cars around me, and I get this bad feeling that I'm going to get into an accident, so I am almost expecting it wherever I go.

It is important to remember that, when having an anxiety attack, that urges and symptoms like these are all in your mind. They're not really happening. I find it calming to remind myself that this is all in my mind. I'm not going to get into an accident, everything is fine.

People experience anxiety is different ways. In my lifetime, I've had about 100 or so anxiety attacks, and I have only had to go to the ER twice. All other times, I have either solved the problem on my own (like when I am in the car) by acknowledging that it is only an anxiety attack, or by taking anxiety medication like Ativan, Kolonopin, or Xanax.

I hope this helps!
Jason
