Taking Valium after Ativan: how long to leave it?

by Spartacus007, May 07, 2007 12:00AM
How long after taking Ativan is it safe to take Valium? (I have both).

It seems that I should look at the biological half life and double it (if Wikipedia is correct) but then, I'm no chemistry expert. Does anyone know off hand? Does the dose of the Ativan matter, or only when you last took it?

Thanks for your advice.

I USUALLY WAIT TIL NEXT DAY BUT I JUST ASKED THE PHARMACIST HOW LONG I SHOULD WAIT FROM TAKING XANEX BACK TO VALIUM N THEY SAID WHEN EVER YOUR NEXT DOSE IS SUPPOSE TO BE YOU CAN TAKE IT.

JUST DONT TAKE THEM TOGETHER.

Thanks very much for that! I've wanted to know "forever."

I've never taken any of these medications together and I don't drink alcohol, so next dose time should be fine for me as well.

Thanks again.
