I am so sorry about your dog...I totally know how you feel...my dog (who is 11) is having some health related issues and I am a total mess over it myself. They are one of the familyBirth control and family planning Choosing a primary care provider Ewing’s sarcoma Family troubles - resources...and they do nothing wrong and just love you...totally unconditional...don't let anyone say "it is only a pet" (I know your husband is just saying that because he is afraid to cry)...it is your best friend and you and your pal will be in my prayers.
Sorry to hear about your dog. We have two cats. My husband is more of the pet person. I didn't have pets growing up but i understand that they do become part of your familyBirth control and family planning Choosing a primary care provider Ewing’s sarcoma Family troubles - resources. My husband had a dog growing up and kept him until he died of old age. It was very hard for him when he died. He had him cremated and still has his ashes. It's hard now but you will get through it!

is so sorry & would just like to say in advance and again...
You are in my thoughts.....
But, you know, these are natural feelings and not anxiety. Allow yourself to feel sad, cry, whatever you need to do. But you should start at least try to eat and eat better - even if it's just V8 or you may find yourself over-anxious. I was just telling my 15 year old daughter yesterday (she is suffering from social anxiety) that anxious feelings are very normal and that it is an emotion t hat we all have; it's just that, for us with the disease, if it makes you physically sick, that's a problem.
Again, I'm sorry for your pain and you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers!
On another note. Sorry for switching subjects. I read that you are interested in combatting your anxiety naturally. I wrote you a message about a visit with a psych I had this past week, not sure if you read it. I will cut and paste it here.
I went to see a psychiatrist and to my surprise he supported the idea of combatting anxiety through holistic measures, i.e. yoga, excercise, diet, stress reduction clincs, acupuncture. He also mentioned an herbal supplement called "kava kava" He said that it works for some people. He let me decide which route I wanted to take. This was very surprising. I assumed that all psychiatrists were "drug pushers"!
Anyway, thought I pass that along to you.
Hope you feel better very soon...
Raine9- I did read the comment about the doc. I had seen a psychologist- who doesnt use/push drugs. So it is amazing to hear that a psychiatrist didnt talk about drugs. My general doc that I see, is all about doing things on your own. SHe said there is so much you can control with your diet and exercise along with vitamins.I have Yoga and Pilates videos that I am supposed to be starting. I have started eating better, so hopefully things will fall into place. Thank you again, for everyone that replied!!
