I am not sure how old you are, but when I was looking at these weird electrical sensations I stumbled across a menopause site. I am only 27 so I know it wasnt that. Anyway, is it possible to be starting your change? Here is a sight that lists symptoms http://www.power-surge.com/educate/34symptoms.htm
I'm sorry, I didn't explain more. I'm 33 and yes, I've followed with a cardiologist for a while, but he doesn't seem to understand these surges and just tells me to cope with them however best I can. The worst part is the weaknessWeakness as I just can't even sit up do to how severe the weaknessWeakness my body has at that time.
Also, no I'm not thinking about anything as it just comes on immediately after physicalPhysical activity Physical exam frequency Physical examination activity, so I'm so busy doing whatever and it just stops me in my tracks and so on. I also frequently wake up with surges in the morning and hadn't been dreaming a bad dream or anything , just usually about 5 minutes as I lay there waking up it slowly starts to surge through me.

I had seen that you said you had a daughter, so you are probably not old enough to have this. It was just the first thing that came to mind. Are you nervous or thinking about anything else when you are doing these small things? Have you ever talked with your doc about it?
The first two things that immediately come to mind are Hyperthyroidism and Pheochromocytoma, both of which can offer an explanation for the "surges".
Did you undergo cardiac work-up? If yes, what were the findings?

I've been diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, which can apparently cause all manner of symptoms that are easily mistaken for anything from simple exaustion to a heart attack. I have a problem with "surges" of energy and tiredness. Sometimes I'll be extremely energetic and restless, often going nearly 24 hours without sleep. Other times, I can't seem to drag myself out of bed for anything.
You might have a look into CFS, and see if you find any answers there. There's a forum here on MedHelp for that, and Wikipedia has a great article on CFS as well.
