hi,  How do you know she/he addicted to xanax?

Hi,

I grew up with a father who was addicted to alcohol.  It was a very helpless feeling.  I joined Alanon and it was a great help.  I'm sure there is a support group for families in your situation as well, but I can't remember the name of it.  Good luck.

Thank you SO much, KatMay...I had not even thought of that.  Of course you are right!  and I will call today.  Not knowing what to do or not do is so hard.  I need input and advice from people who have been there!  Thank you so much for that suggestion.  You all are so kind.  We did have a long talk today and she is open to treatment.

I hope you are doing better today.  I so know what you're going through (to some extent at least).  It's hard not to feel helpless....but we are never helpless when it comes to helping ourselves.  Best of luck to you.
