new symptoms

by Happy2girls, May 29, 2007 12:00AM
Hello everyone.  I just can't figure this anxiety thing out.  I have come to terms (finally) with my palpatations, fast heart rate and shortness of breath.  I feel strongly now that these are indeed related to anxiety even though I generally don't feel anxious.  In fact it seems that when I finally accepted these symptoms as anxiety the frequency dramatically declined.  I am grateful for that.  However, it also seems that once I come to accept one symptom a new one appears.  Is this true of anyone else?  It's crazy.  Right now I am experiencng head pressure when standing and a heart pulsing sensation in my eyes.  I can actually see my viens pulse through my eyes with each heart beat.  Now I am thinking that I have high blood pressure.  Does any one else have this head pressure and heart beat sensation behind the eyes?  Thanks for any response.  Peace to everyone!

I do get head pressure, and sometimes pulse feelings in my eye but I think it is from my sinuses. I know what you mean about the symptoms though. I started out feeling dizzy once in awhile. THen sometimes walking thru a mall or store- my knees feel like jelly. then the digestion stuff started. This bothers me still- I get nervous there wont be some where I can go- and I dont want to go anywhere but my own home, so I am sometimes afraid to go out (sorry tmi)!! half the time I wouldnt place these symptoms to anxiety- now I realize they are all related. I had palpatations, vision problems. nothing would happen all at once, so I never thought it was all due to the same thing. Anixety is a very hard thing to admit to. It is not like we can get a blood test and have it tell us that we have it! I wish it were that easy!!

I thought I was the only person in the world that can see their pulse beating in their vision!!!  I was recently pregnant and complained of this problem to my midwife, who looked at me like I was from another planet, and told me she had never heard of it before.  I noticed it everytime I went to their office because it's more noticeable in flourescent lighting.  I too thought it was related to my blood pressure but everytime they checked it, it was always around 98/64.  I've just added it to my list of "symptoms".  I too get head pressure that sometimes feels like my brain is blowing up like a balloon, or an "all over" sinus headache.  I have had anxiety for 7 years and new symptoms appear for me whenever they want to.  I just hope it will be awhile before I develop my next one!!! :-)     Hope this helps!!!

I can see the pulse thru my eyes as well, but not sure if my eye is "physically" pulsing or is it me that is just seeing it.

Yes, once you get over a symptom others come along.....I got a feeling at a stage that my body was trying to "trigger" my anxiety anyhow & if it fails in the normal way of "heart palpitations" then it usually finds a new symptom for me to worry about & so on.

I think what made me feel better about all these symptoms & mostly around 70% of them disappeared is that I done a full body check up with doctors & they came back with few issues like a slight liver enzymes (which I know their extent or their symptoms - which by the way never show up!! :).

I realised that almost 100% of my symptoms are anxiety related because I don't have any physical disease to trigger "those symptoms" that I'm getting.

if you could achieve that level as well, you'll defenitely lower all other symptoms exactly same as heart palpitations.

cheers,
