Can anxiety cause fingers to tremble?

by Northcoast, May 30, 2007 12:00AM
Wondering if my anxiety could be the cause of my fingers trembling/wobbling ever so slightly.  I've been struggling with a lot of weird symptoms like muscle spasms and pins and needles and I'm hoping they are just anxiety related.  But the fingers trembling has me worried about Parkinson's or something.  Does anyone else have fingers that tremble?  Can anxiety cause this?  Thanks!

Anxiety causes every sympton of every disease,, that is the scary thing about it. MY hands my  hands shake, my head shakes, at times my whole body shakes...
If you are really concern I would go to the doc just to put your mind to ease..
Good luck

I have had anxiety disorder for seven years and my hands tremble constantly.  When my body peaks with a panic attack every muscle in my body will tremble and my head will shake with every heartbeat.  I think it's the adrenaline running through our systems, keeping us ready for "fight ot flight".  Doing a google search for adrenaline and anxiety taught me so much about the "why's" of our condition.
Hope this helps!!!

Thanks guys.  That does help.  I'll check out the adrenaline link.  I was just listening to one of my Midwest Center tapes last night and they mentioned adrenaline too.  Of course, I've worried about Parkinsons, ALS, MS, etc.  I have been seeing my MD and had an MRI last week.  Going in today for the results.  Thanks!
