anxiety and aching body

by tostressed, Jun 13, 2007 12:00AM
Does anyone out there ever ache all over from anxiety? I am so tired of all of this anxiety. I have had regular bloodwork and more exstensive blood work and all came back great. The only reason the more exstensive blood work was taken, was because I requested it. (auto immune, sed rate, rheumatoid factor, arthritis, plus others.)Of course the one disease that I worry about most,(MS) you can't get blood work for. I want an mri, but doctor says there is no evidence of ms. He see's no red flags to indicate ms. So they all look at me like I'm crazy. My anxiety is health anxiety, so I believe that I can have just ablut anything.

Hey there, Yes I am going through the same thing. A lost of my joints ache, my head, back, some muscles. I have no idea if my Anxiety is causing this, It gets me really worried. I am going in for bloodwork tommorow. How long did it take you to get your results? Im nervous all the time about what it could be, and I have no clue if the anxiety is causing this. What kind of pain are you feeling. If your bloodwork all came back great, than I wouldnt worry. Also, MS has way more symptoms than overall ache, and it dosent really seem like that is what is wrong. Did the blood work give you any relief? Did it make you more scared? I noticed that the more I worry (which has been A LOT for the last few days) the more pain I seem to be in. I hope you find ansers. Keep me posted! Good Luck.

The bloodwork gave me some relief, but my anxiety is about my health, so I always worry. My blood work came back in a few days. I have heard that anxiety can cause pain all over. The more you think the worse it gets for you. I try so hard not to think about my health, and I always fail. My doctors laughs when I think that I have MS. Actually my whole family does. They are sick of me.
Well keep me posted with your blood work and how you are doing. Thanks for the quick response too.

I certainly think anxiety can cause a whole bunch of symptoms.  I'm just coming out of a terrible bout of muscle spasms, twitches, pins & needles, tight muscles, etc.  I, too, thought I had a terrible disease and went to my doctor.  He thought it was stress.  I now have to agree with him since most of my symptoms are almost gone.  My advice would be to cut out caffeine and sugar from your diet.  Get up and out of the house and go for a walk or get some type of exercise.  It really does do wonders for your mood and in alleviating anxiety.  Just try to relax as much as you can.   Good luck to you!  Everything is going to be okay!
