heat bothersome? Other weirdness?

I realize that anxiety can effect us in almost any way imaginable and for me it's been a lot of neurological stuff- tingling and pins and needles mostly.  I've been to see the neurologist and had MRI all came out fine.  He said I should notice my symptoms start to subside now that I can lay the anxiety of MS to rest.  They have been but the past couple of days we've been getting really hot weather and my symptoms are increasing.  So I'm wondering if anyone else gets more bothered by the heat.  THe cold does it to me too.

How does the heat bother you? What symptoms do you get?

The heat bothers me terribly...I get much more irritable and stressed.  I just can't deal with things the way I can when it is cool.  I DREAD THE SUMMER MONTHS!  If I could, I would move to ALASKA!!!!

I think all people are like this depending on their preferences...my husband DESPISES THE COLD!

Boy, will we have fights when we go to retire!  LOL

The heat bothers me too!!  I get heat edema, I sweat very little, I get a headache, and can actually feel my body throbbing with my pulse, which leads me to worry about some sort of neuropathy.  I only recently started experiencing the vibrating/tingling/pin-n-needles sensations in my hands, forearms, calves, feet, and occasionally in my body cavity as well.  Having anxiety for seven years I had only experienced this sensation during a panic attack, but now these symptoms are daily occurences with no rhyme or reason.  When my extremeties get cold (feel cold to me and to the touch) the sensations go away, but as I warm back up the tingling returns.  It's driving me nuts!  I'm glad to hear that you were given the all clear for MS!!  I wish I could afford to be tested, but our insurance co's open enrollment isn't until January, and I will have to wait :-(  Hopefully we will both be feeling better soon!!

Wow! Your symptoms sound like mine.  I have had major health anxiety over the past two months.  When I told the doctor that the tingling was brought on by the cold he wasn't surprised - I guess nerves react that way.  So perhaps I shouldn't be bothered that they're effected by the heat too, but I am.  By the way, the neurologist told me that pins and needles, tingling on their own are not really too concerning.  They could very well be brought on by stress or whatever.  Apparently there are other signs that would be more indicative of neurological/neuromuscular problems.  It's still hard to buy into all this stuff though isn't it when you're feeling so odd.  Now that I have had the tests for MS, I'm going to go back to my family doctor and check for thyroid or arthritis or whatever else she figures and if that's ok then I guess it really is anxiety.  I also have anxiety over the fact that I have anxiety!  I'm pursuing a bit of a stressful profession, and I don't know how this anxiety is going to affect my work.  Every day this week I have had to force myself not to quit the job I have.  I just don't feel into it anymore.
