hey group, just wanted to say first ya are a great bunch of people, when i was really stressed ya came through for me . but i do have another question

i got anxiety because of my moms surgery and my changing heart meds 3 times in 2 weeks, today its much better but still hanging in there . i dont have anxiety everyday, not a hibate for me and last time i had it has been i think 3 years ago and it was because they though i had a heart block which i didnt , after it back i was ok maybe it took me week to get out of it,

this time i went through 9 weeks heart palps 3 med changes and 2 months with my moms health.

ok every things better palps have been gone 3 weeks back to same med i been taking and my mom is lots better

so why 3 weeks later do i still have some stress anxiety. cant under stand why it just wont go away. its much better but still with me. and if i think to much on it i could have it back full force/

is this normal for it to still be hanging around. and do ya think its going to be a long term thing.

thanks for your input it means a lot to me . barbara

The first time I began suffering from anxiety it was for NO apparent reason at all.  As a matter of fact, life was very good....it just happens and sometimes it goes as it comes and sometimes it hangs around...I think everyone is different.

I started getting anxiety issues when I started going back to college about 4 years ago. I thought I had sinus infections because I was getting dizzy and then  get very nervous over it. It was good for awhile then I started subbing as a teacher- that week I had heart palps dizziness, and high nervousness. I went through all kinds of tests and everything came back fine. So I thought maybe it was just bad sinuses again. It wasnt until the end of last year that I realized what I have been suffering from is anxiety. I could trace back all of my symptoms to that. Lately, I sometimes will feel the general anxious feeling, where you know you are not quite right. I try and ignore it, but I usually end up looking up these new symptoms and that makes it worse. But I want to know what it is. I know it is just anxiety, but I cant help myself.

Anyway, for me sometimes the anxiety will linger for awhile when I dont believe anything is wrong. Maybe you are still concerned about your mom even though everything is going well, you might have it in the back of your mind that something could happen. Just my thoughts! I always think our minds will hold on to certain stuff and even though we are not aware of it, the thoughts are always there. It is very scary to think that your parent might have health issues. they have been your rock and you dont want anything to happen to them. So, you can just try and keep breathing-deeply to calm yourself down, and tell yourself you dont want to and you will not feel anxious anymore!! Be stern with yourself!! You will not deal with it anymore!!! Best of luck to you!!!
