This is NOT normal - have you discussed this with a doctor? This is something that warrants medical investigation and you need to do this ASAP if this symptom continues.
KlonopinKlonopin Klonopin wafer is never started at 1/2 mg, tid (three times daily). The manufacturer suggests starting with 1/4 mg, bid, and increasing the dose to 1/2 mg, bid after three days. However, since you were previously taking Ativan, you can start with 1/2 mg, bid (twiceTwice-a-day daily).

I hope the bloodwork included Bilirubin, Albumin, Total Protein, Alkaline Phosphate, ALT, and AST (liver function tests).

Klonopin is twice as strong as Ativan, so you may experience some sedation initially (this will go away after a week or so). Otherwise, there are no major side effects.

I have "yellow" eyes due to thalassemia minor (a chronic anemia) could you also be anemic because you are not getting enough iron? You should ask your doctor for your blood report and check your hemoglobin, and billirubin and all those other things RCA suggested. If the hemoglobin is low and billirubin is high, you should see a hemotologist just so he can help you figure out a diet to put your blood back to normal.
Also, I understand your aversion to taking an SSRI. Give the Klonopin a chance and if you still feel out of sorts I suggest taking an SSRI. If it will help you feel like yourself again, it is worth it. I find the side effects are nothing compared to the feelings of stress and anxiety...Just food for thought.
