WELCOME TO THE ARTERIOVENOUS MALFORMATION (AVM) COMMUNITY: This Patient-To-Patient Community is for discussions relating to Arteriovenous Malformations, which are defects of the circulatory system that are generally believed to arise during embryonic or fetal development or soon after birth. They are comprised of snarled tangles of arteries and veins.

I've been diagnosed with a frontal lobe AVM, does anyone know what treatment I would be referred to for this , I know there's three different types? Or would I have any treatment at all? I'm very worried about this.

In 1992 i had surgery for a T-5 AVM It took them 11 hours to cut it all out, It left me a paraplegic with very little feeling from T-5 down also with all that cutting there was nerve damage so i am in a lot of pain and burning every day....

I went for memorization prior to surgery to remove the AVM and they couldn't do it because so much blood was rushing..what other methods will they try before surgery
