I have just noticed that my developing 11 year old has small red bumps all around her nipple on her areola.  I just want to be sure this is nothing to worry about.  She says there is no itching, but I have never seen anything like it.  Should I be concerned?

Dear concernedmama:  You may be noticing montgomery's glands.  These appear as reddish or brownish bumps on the areola.  It is normal.
