neck pain

I have posted before and really appreciate your opinions.  I had lumpectomy w/8 chemo 4 AC/4 Taxotere, radiation, and am now on Tamoxifen for Stage 3 BC w/ 2 out of 23 lymph pos.  Chemo treatment complete in Jan 03 and rad complete in April 03.  I have been having neck pain on the same side as my BC. For a couple of months that was mainly just stiff and uncomforatable.  For a couple of weeks I can feel pain in my ear on the same side as well as mild headaches.  Pain responds to heat and Advil.  I informed my onc of this when I had my check up.  My onc examined my neck and felt some swelling.  She did not think it was cancer related and felt it might be a disc problem.  An MRI was scheduled just to be sure.  Just knowing that she doesn't feel it to be a cancer problem, has eased my mind. Although the pain and discomfort are still there, I can deal with it.  After thinking about it, I think I would like to cancel the MRI of brain and c spine.  In your opinion would this be something that we can wait and see?  Thank you

Dear lizmcdowell, As it has been recommended to complete the evaluation, and the problem has been there for a couple of months and changing/ slightly worse I would proceed with the complete evaluation.
