My daughter, age 10, has small, elongated hard bump in her left breast.  Is this part of development or cause for concern?

Dear LCR'smom:  Lumps and bumps in prepubertal breasts are very unlikely to be breast cancer.  There are many possible explanations for lumps but if this is new and on only one side, the best option may be to have the pediatrician take a look.
