| . | Hi,
I had a reversal tubulation in July 2006 and 1 month later my breast became tender especially at the tip and the sides. My gynecologist did a breast examenation in sept 2006 and said everything was normal. The Doc think it's my hormones but the thing is that, we are in Feb 2007 and the tenderness is still present. My breasts feel like I breast feed for hours. I did get a ultrasound and there wasn't any normality. Should I go for a Mammo??? By the way I will be 34 in april 2007. We are trying to get pregnant before that I had my tubes tied for 12 yrs. I don't know if that makes a difference.

| chantale01 | Dear Chantal: Reversing a tubal ligation would not have any impact on your hormones. It only impacts the egg’s ability to travel to the uterus. Breast pain is not uncommon. Particularly during certain times in the menstrual cycle. Breasts can also become more painful during pregnancy. Mammography is not usually recommended as screening in young women because the density of the breast tissue can make them difficult to interpret , however diagnostic mammography may be used to evaluate a particular concern. A mammogram would NOT be recommended if there is any possibility that you could be pregnant. You may want to see your doctor back for re-evaluation and discussion of options to further evaluate your concern.

| . | Sounds like hormones to me. I just went on the pill for uterine cysts and the last 2 weeks I have been so tender and sore also. I can't hold anything to my chest without feeling some pain. I was told that my body needs some time to adjust. Maybe by untying your tubes more hormones were released? Just a guess...I don't know anything about it! |

My concern was why did the tenderness start when I had the reversal??? I never had tenderness before, even before my periods.
thx |

| . | Hi,
I seen the doc on Feb 16, and still not pregnant. I still have sore breast everyday. He said, I shouldn't be concern, but he is puzzled also. Sometimes I can feel something hard in both breast not all the time. Pain is mostly on the outside and nipples of both breast. Can it be my bras???? I only buy bras from LaSenza. I think there good ones. What are the chances of both my tubes being block????? after getting a reversal done???? The Doc told me that my chances of getting pregnant are 85%. But it has being 8 months trying. Does any body out there has had a reversal and got pregnant??????? |
