.I have a small open sore on the lower part of my nipple. I have had it for some time - it seems to get better and then after a month (?) reappear. I also have occasional yellow discharged from this nipple (mostly when forced). Are these signs of Paget disease or could they be signs of a not so serious problem?

TSDear TS, Paget’s disease is a rare form of breast cancer. Symptoms usually associated with this are itching, redness, and spontaneous (not forced) nipple discharge. For Paget’s disease to be diagnosed requires a sample of the tissue to be examined under the microscope. Presence of a non-healing sore could be from a number of conditions, however, having it examined by a physician would be prudent.
